MOG Editorial Review
Even as the idea of regional hip-hop becomes obsolete, there's still something enthralling about a rapper that can embody their hometown, and Stalley's Lincoln Way Nights is the latest example of that. Hailing from Massillon, Ohio, Stalley paints an unbelievably vivid picture of the town throughout, driving us through town while blasting Rashad's thumping bass lines and groovy horns out of his trunk speakers. Concepts aside, tracks like "Slapp" are head-nodding fun even if you aren't quite in tune with Stalley's love letter to the Midwest, which is probably the best compliment you can give to an MC determined to create what he calls "Intelligent Trunk Music."
