Sony's All-Star Christmas has a little something for everyone, drawing from its vast array of artists in many different pop music styles, as well as reaching back into the vaults for songs from the '80s and '90s. There's plenty of mainstream, adult contemporary-style pop, but also R&B (Babyface, Al Green, Luther Vandross), blues (Keb' Mo'), country (Billy Gilman with Asleep at the Wheel), classical (Charlotte Church), new age (Ottmar Liebert), and, of course, novelty items (Elmo & Patsy's ubiquitous "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer"). The songs are a mix of perennial standards and artist-penned original compositions. So, all in all, there's plenty of variety here for fans of 2000's contemporary mainstream.
