With each album, Anthony Gonzalez has taken his M83 project to dizzying new heights, but Hurry Up, We're Dreaming is ambitious even by his standards. An epic double album inspired by a child's outlook on life, M83 have plenty of room to dabble in numerous electronic experiments, even achieving pop perfection on second track "Midnight City." Elsewhere, he manages to evoke '80s stadium rock on "Claudia Lewis" and soothing ambiance on "Another Wave." Though it's filled with intentionally cheesy moments (the twee "Raconte-Moi Une Histoire"), Hurry Up We're Dreaming reveals an imagination that's bigger and better than any of M83's peers.
