This brief set of Rodney Crowell's Columbia Records-era hits is essentially a truncated version of 1993's Greatest Hits, offering ten tracks to the former release's 12. There are some gems here, of course, including a pair of beautiful Crowell compositions, "It's Such a Small World" and "I Couldn't Leave You If I Tried," and the tenderly hilarious "She's Crazy for Leaving." Every track has resonance, but Raven's Small Worlds single-disc set offers a much better overview of Crowell's work, and includes all of the above songs.
