GRP's Priceless Jazz is a mid-line collection that concentrates on John Klemmer's recordings for Cadet in the late '60s and early '70s. Although this disc could hardly be called definitive, since it weighs in at only ten tracks, it nevertheless offers many of his best cuts for the label, including "Touch," "Look to the Sky," "Waterfall II," "My Love Has Butterfly Wings," "All the Children Cried," "Constant Throb," "Tone Row Weaver" and "Later with Them Woes." This compilation skillfully balances his earlier experimental work with the echoplex with hints of his latter-day smooth jazz, which means it's useful as a sampler for curious listeners.
