This fourth installation of the Remix Wars, started by 21st Circuitry before moving over to Metropolis Records, is one of the more memorable releases of the set. Funker Vogt and Velvet Acid Christ are two bands who have not appeared remixing each other on many bonus tracks or compilations, but this release proves that they are well-suited to remix each other. The sound is exactly what could be expected -- the sinister electronica of Velvet Acid Christ taking on the forceful weight of Funker Vogt's melodies and heavy bass. The songs selected span each outfit's discography, including the reinvention of older tracks. The end result is greater than the sum of its parts, with some unforgettable tunes, particularly Funker Vogt's "International Killer (We Won the War Mix)" and Velvet Acid Christ's "Futile (Resisted)." These tracks alone should provide enough reason for fans of either band to add this release to their collection.
