Man, Oh Man: The Power of the Persuasions is a terrifc overview of the a cappella group's early-'70s recordings for Capitol. The band was at the peak of their powers during this era, as this stellar retrospective proves. Although Man Oh Man doesn't contain their biggest hits, it does contain some of their best work, including covers of "Buffalo Soldier" and "People Get Ready, " making it a first-rate retrospective and introduction.
