Out Of Step

As hardcore punk was still in its infancy and grasping for an identity, Minor Threat burst onto the scene with their only full-length, Out of Step, and it sealed the band's influence despite their short-lived existence. Packing a strong, political sense of urgency to it's energetic sound, tracks like "Think Again" did as much to describe the hardcore and straight edge lifestyle as it did the state of the nation. While their earlier work had announced their core ideals more efficiently, this is the album that found them both perfecting their sound and building on the very foundation they built, not to mention making the sound bigger and noisier in the process.
