This semi-decent collection from the Collectables label of early-50s vocal quintet the Flamingos features 12 tracks from the group's Chance, Checker, and Decca recording sessions. While catchy doo wop cuts like "It's Too Soon to Know," "Sinner (El Pecador)," the "Moonlight in Vermont," "Ol' Man River," and "Flame of Love" are good, fans looking for Flamingos' classics like "Golden Teardrops" or "I'll Be Home" will come away disappointed and should check out Rhino's excellent Best of the Flamingos or Collectables aptly titled 42-track For Collectors Only box.
