This album alternates instrumentals of various moods with theatrical rock songs featuring lyrics by Tim Rice. The instrumental "Gone But Not Forgotten" is the standout, an appropriately dignified and elegiac piece. The final track is altogether different from the rest of the album, though it is another elegy; it's a reading by Robert Powell of Thomas Gray's "Elegy -- Written in a Country Churchyard," set to music by Wakeman.
