There really hasn't been a comprehensive greatest-hits collection of the LA group that took hair metal to its fullest extent. With this latest edition of 20th Century Masters, this problem has been remedied. Covering L.A. Guns' career from 1987's eponymous debut to their 1995 comeback album Vicious Circle, all of the group's most well-known songs are included here. Fan favorites like "The Ballad of Jayne" and "Never Enough" and die-hard fan favorites like "Sex Action" and "It's Over Now" fall together seamlessly, making this not only a reasonably priced disc that serves well as an introduction to the group, but also as a greatest-hits compilation die-hard fans so richly deserve.
