Singer/songwriter Livingston Taylor gets the Millennium Collection treatment with Hip-O's 13-track 20th Century Masters anthology. While his older brother James may be more familiar to the public, Livingston's five 1970s releases are some of the genre's most consistently overlooked -- "Get Out of Bed," "In My Reply," "Lost in the Love With You," and "Carolina Day" rank up there with anything "Sweet Baby James" ever did. While Razor & Tie's 18-track Carolina Day: The Collection (1970-1980) may cover the period more extensively, The Millennium Collection is listener-solid, and for under ten dollars it's also a real bargain.
