All Music GuideGotham Records was an East Coast bastion for doo wop and R&B in the late '40s and early '50s, and this entry in Collectables' Spotlite series is the second volume examining the goodies found in their vaults. Big ticket items here are "Just Suppose" by Lee Andrews and the Hearts, "Are You Sorry" by the Whispers, and "It's a Miracle" by the Capris. But tracks like "Have You Seen My Baby" by the Ballenaires, "Honest" by the Gazelles, and "Goodby Bella" by the Dreamers are just as emblematic of the label's sound and style as anything else on here. More street corner classics from the Cap-tans, the Kings, and Doris Browne complete the set.
