The soundtrack for director Mark Waters' "chick flick" take on Charles Dickens' -A Christmas Carol takes the majority of its inspiration from the 1980s. While Kool & the Gang ("Ladies Night") and Men Without Hats ("The Safety Dance") may never have shared the stage in real life, they're brought together by the magic of cinema (along with Simply Red and REO Speedwagon) to help tell the tale of bad boyfriend Matthew McConaughey as he seeks redemption with the help of spectral versions of all of his old girlfriends, some of whom randomly appear in bed. Matthew Sweet, Gavin Rossdale, and Sharon Jones are also along for the romp (so to speak).
