Outside continues Gary Chapman's penchant for touching, sentimental paeans to the joys of fatherhood, as well as songs addressing his Christian faith and the subject of love in general. Overall, it's a very positive, affirming outlook that Chapman shares, and fortunately, the songs here live up to the standards of craft that he set on previous releases.
