Created in 2005 as the "family friendly" version of the increasingly decadent ~Lollapalooza tour, ~Kidzapalooza boasted both children's music heavyweights like Ralph Covert (Ralph's World) and Lunch Money, and ~Lollapalooza mainstays like Lisa Loeb, Deborah Harry, and Perry Farrell, all of whom appear on Kidzapalooza, Vol. 1, a 12-track compilation of singalongs and light-hearted summer anthems that provide a nice break for parents via big purple dinosaurs and Teletubbies. All of the tracks are culled from individual releases, making it a nice sampler for those looking to get out of #Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. Recommended for kids with Misfits sippy cups and parents still in bands.
