Composer Steve Jablonsky's second stab at setting music to images of military and science fiction carnage echoes the bold, overtly serious tone of its predecessor and remains the one bright spot in the notoriously one-dimensional #Transformers series. Like his boss Hans Zimmer, whose studio Remote Control Productions he has spent considerable time in honing his skills, Jablonsky is a highly skilled sculptor of musical bravado. His deft blending of the orchestral and the electronic (as well as the punishingly percussive) yields fruit that is size appropriate to the film's giant alien robots/waste management vehicles.
