Eden's Crush were designed to play the role of disposable pop stars, a prefabricated collection of attractive female entertainers who would star on the WB's TV show #Popstars, while promoting a record of the same name. This they can do, and they do it reasonably well -- they sing, dance, and display some charisma and talent. But -- and maybe this shouldn't come as a surprise -- it sounds like a television show, not pop music. A pretty good approximation of pop music at times, whether it's on ballads like "Love This Way" or standard-issue dance-pop like "What's Good 4 the Goose" or "Get Over Yourself," but the girls either don't have or aren't allowed to display charisma as strong as Britney or Christina, or even 3LW. This hardly means it's a terrible album, but it's hardly a memorable one; it, like the show, will be best remembered as an artifact from the teen-tastic early years of the new millennium.
