Ten songs covering a wide range of musical styles. This set was produced by Staton's son, Marcus Williams, who is a flawless and in-demand session drummer. As a result, the production is very slick and clean. It features Staton's autobiographical number one gospel hit "Mama," which was actually more of a Southern pop song than gospel. The album was diverse, with "I'm Changed" and "Born Again" sounding as though they were cut from a page in the Ward Singers' 1950s songbook. "The Blood" and "I Want To Grow" express light jazz elements, while "Rapture Me" is pure funk.
