Born John MacLean, the Juan Maclean got his start as a guitarist for dance-leaning post-hardcore band Six Finger Satellite. While the band would eventually dissolve, MacLean has since had a second life, not to mention a new pseudonym. Joining the DFA Records stable with James "LCD Soundsystem" Murphy, MacLean created some of the best dance music in recent memory, before helping usher in the house revival on The Future Will Come. Combining a reverence for house/techno music's history and no-BS attitude toward the dance-floor, MacLean's tracks kick the party up with class.
