Love Jams, Vol. 2 features smooth urban soul from the late '70s and the '80s, including Prince's "Nothing Compares 2 U," Maze's "Can't Get Over You" and Karyn White's "Superwoman," among many others. A handful of tracks make their compact disc debut on Love Jams, Vol. 2, but the bulk of the album simply collects popular hits, which is actually a blessing -- with music like this, you want to hear your favorites. It might not make for serious listening, but as either mood music or a nostalgia trip, it's quite effective.
