This is a nice surprise of eclectic quirkiness. Melomane are all over the place with a jump from new wave to cocktail to the quirky "Bone Machine"-era of Tom Waits, to a relaxed feel of power pop to Latin, etc. Additional incorporations of a theremin, trumpet leads, cello, and a toy xylophone make Resolvo one of the more interesting releases of 2001; experimental but not avant-garde enough to make this unlistenable. Fans of Beck and Stereolab should be on the lookout for this.
