On this GNP/Crescendo LP (one of seven Django Reinhardt albums the label has released), the guitarist is featured in two settings. He joins violinist Stephane Grappelli for a 1947 reunion that swings fairly well and is also heard with his quintet (featuring clarinetist Hubert Rostaing) for ten other numbers from the same period. The recording dates are unfortunately not listed in the liner notes but the music (which shows the influence of bop) is timeless.
