Huelo a Soledad became Ana Gabriel's 17th full-length record, a contemporary Latin pop album exploring rhythms and providing sounds recorded in London, Prague, Mexico City, Madrid, and Los Angeles, CA, starting with a sophisticated mid-tempo called "Miento a Mi Verdad," an outstanding a cappella version of the title track, and the surprising club/dance "Amigo Amante." Produced by Mariano Pérez, Huelo a Soledad features nine songs composed by this talented Mexican artist. [The 2002 re-release includes two versions of "Huelo a Soledad" not included on the original.]
