Released by the reliable Thump label in 2001, Ahead of Their Time!: Full Force's Greatest Hits is a handy summary of the group's career, and is much more thorough and representative than the shoddy Collectables set, titled All Cried Out, that was released in 2004. Pretty much everything you need is here, including "Alice I Want You Just for Me!," "Temporary Love Thing," "Ain't My Type of Hype," "Friends B-4 Lovers," and "Kiss Those Lips" -- all of which were played with regularity on pop and R&B stations throughout the last half of the '80s. It'd be great to have a comprehensive set of their best production work, but the licensing hassles (attaining rights from several labels) would be a thankless task.
