A dozen-plus-one tracks drawn from Vanguard Records' '60s-era rediscovery blues catalog, this sampler is OK as far as it goes, but it isn't anything special, save for Skip James' delicate version of his "I'm So Glad," Mississippi John Hurt's gentle and mellow take on "Corrina, Corrina," and Otis Spann's piano workout on "Spann's Stomp."
