This Ray Conniff album will possibly be the most popular among kitsch enthusiasts or novelty seekers. Known primarily for orchestral versions of contemporary, his recordings during the late 1960s and early 1970s as Ray Conniff and the Singers included many straightforward recordings of current pop hits. This collection takes on songs from some of the hottest TV shows of the day, including #Happy Days, #Mary Tyler Moore, #M.A.S.H., #Baretta, #Police Story, #Welcome Back Kotter, and #Laverne and Shirley. This is an amazing easy listening pick up. If you are looking for fun, expert cheese, this is the collection to get ASAP. (While the songs here offer one of the most fun and accessible Conniff albums, his take on pop songs are often more rewarding than these TV themes.) A cheerful artifact of the early 1970s. If you are going to revisit the Ray Conniff catalog, vinyl LP or 8-track is highly recommended.
