Missing Persons and the Motels are actually a good match for EMI-Capitol Special Markets' Back 2 Back Hits series. Both groups have dedicated fans, but many listeners only remember them for a handful of hits, and Back 2 Back Hits features those hits from both artists. All of Missing Persons' five charting singles -- "Words," "Destination Unknown," "Windows," "Walking in L.A.," and "Give" -- are here; the Motels' section contains all of their biggest hits -- "Only the Lonely," "Take the L," "Suddenly Last Summer," "Remember the Nights," and "Shame." For casual fans of both new wave groups, this is a fine way to acquire all these hits on one disc, although serious collectors of either group should stick with individual artist compilations.
