Surprisingly, Guttermouth's first album for Epitaph finds the SoCal punkers sounding less like an Epitaph band than they did before they signed to the label. On Covered With Ants, Guttermouth still sound like NOFX's little brothers, but the songs and production are infinitely better this time around, which helps to overshadow the sometimes tiresome nature of the band's eager-to-offend lyrics. These are tight, catchy songs played fast and loud. Great stuff for Guttermouth.
