Produced in Pepe Aguilar's recording studios in Mexico City, Lo Mejor de Nosotros became one of the most prolific Latin releases in 2001, bringing together well-produced and brilliantly arranged songs, including Joan Sebastian's "Enamorarse Asi," "Botellita de Tequila," "Mas Alto Que Las Aguilas," "Apuesto," and "Tus Mentiras," including the hit single "Me Vas A Extrañar," achieving the album's climax while performing his stylized mariachi, mostly found on "Salado" and "Te Dejo Un Pañuelo." Grammy-winning Pepe Aguilar goes on his own, making a crossover from the Mexican traditional to the Latin pop genre with a seductive and memorable record.
