Word Records released singer and songwriter Cindy Morgan's debut album Real Life in 1992. The project, which greatly differs from her later CCM and jazz-influenced albums such as Listen and The Loving Kind, is a combination of Christian pop, adult contemporary, and R&B. Upon the release of Real Life, Morgan was primarily marketed as a dance music diva, very much the Christian alternative to Paula Abdul. While Real Life features notable songs including "Let It Be Love," "It's Gonna Be Heaven," and "How Could I Ask For More," it does not reflect the true musical style of Morgan. Her strengths, both vocally and musically, are better showcased subsequent projects.
