Route 97 features French bluesman Paul Personne performing many of his songs and the songs of others in a live setting. The songs were recorded in early April 1997 at ~l'Olympia in Paris. Several musicians join Personne for the performances, including drummer Philippe Floris, bassist Christophe Garreau, keyboardist Olivier Lanneluc, saxophonist/percussionist Michel Billiez, and percussionist Gloria H.G.
