This compilation brings together tracks recorded on Havana's Caribe label in the 1990s and is proof (if anyone needed it) that Cuban dance music is as vibrant and exiting as ever. NG la Banda (the NG is for nueva generacion, or new generation) is a brassy, explosive unit that infuses crackling energy into the son style. If tracks like "No Me Molesta Mas" or "Papa Chango" (here heard in a wonderful live recording) don't get your next party going, there is something wrong with your guests.
