Tom T's songs are stories filled with interesting characters. And, some of his most interesting characters are gathered on this record which celebrates the first 20 years of Hall's career as a performer. (Hall was a writer first with his most famous pre-performer song being "Harper Valley PTA.") Whether you're looking for a hits package (which this isn't, strictly speaking) or just want to learn more about Hall, this is a fine place to start.
