bootlegs are where it's at

Were you around in 1970? I wasn't, and not many of my friends were either. This is the reason for bootlegs, or RoIO's (recording of illigetimate origin). Without them, people of my age group can't experience the massive live sound of a song like "Embryo" from Pink Floyd or "Watcher of the Skies" by Genesis. These songs just absolutely have to be heard live to get the full effect and dynamics of what the band were shooting for.

  2. mafelton says It's amazing how a band like the Floyd could take a song like this and simply toss it aside. Of course this song was a prototype, but it's a shame that it was never fully explored and developed.
