Not Very Musical

Posted over 2 years ago
Not very musical, but the tag is. (It's my all-time FAVORITE Christmas song, and it HAS to be sung by Bing and NOBODY ELSE!!!) Since it is Christmas in 25 hours and 3 minutes my time, I was just wondering what everyone's favorite Christmas movie of all-time is. Not a Christmas celebrator? Not to worry! Just tell what your favorite holiday movie is. I am guessing a lot of "A Christmas Story" and "The Grinch" (CrashPryor, haha). Well, mine is "It's A Wonderful Life" with James Stewart and Donna Reed. I could seriously quote that whole movie right now...buffalo gals won't you come out tonight, won't you come out tonight, won't you come out tonight. buffalo gals won't you come out tonight......and....dance...by the light...of the moooon....what did you wish for when you threw that rock???? ahh, I LOVE james stewart. Oh, The Philadelphia Story with Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn, FANTASTIC!!! oh, i have driven astray from my post. sorry, so tell me!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY! Felicia :-)

  1. chucky says Well, you guessed right (for me at least) - Christmas Story. My family watches that movie on loop all day Christmas. Sometimes I will watch Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Jack Frost - but, only leading up to Christmas.

  3. mutterimieli says Mine is yours.. I watch "It's a wonderful life" every year on TV. Although I do have to admit, I've never seen "A christmas story". ::shrug::

  4. SamTheButcher says "Wonderful Life". "Miracle on 34th Street". "Olive the Other Reindeer", even though it's more special-y than movie-y. Oh, and we just watched "The Santa Clause" and I found it to be pretty damn funny and rather, well...charming. 5 stars. Really! Although, I've been hearing good things about "White Christmas". I wanna watch that and "Holiday Inn". Mo' Bing, Mo' Bettah, ya? :)

  6. Joxley says probably Jingle All The Way for sheer comic crapness, the Wallace and gromit shorts are also great at this time of year, but since I'm British The Great Escape is the one movie I _have_ to watch over Christmas.

  7. lemontwist says I dunno... I've never seen Wonderful Life or Miracle... I'm gonna have to go with that one with the misfit toys (you know, the elf that wants to be a dentist?)...

  8. mutterimieli says AJ, I had a math teacher in high school that looked just like Hermey the elf that wanted to be a dentist. I loved the spotted elephant in that one, my family bought me figures of him.

  9. aimlessinwonder says "ho ho ho, ho ho ho, we are santa's elves, ho ho!" god, i watch every single special on tv EVERY year, because of my sisters and not to mention i watched them when i was younger as well.

  10. ScottyB says _It's A Wonderful Life_. I am shocked and dismayed that it is mentioned only once here... Lemon - Yours is the eponymous _Rudolph The Red Nosed Raindeer_. If we're going early claymation, though, I think you have to go with _Santa Claus Is Coming To Town_...Fred Astaire as the mailman - C'mon! Outstanding stuff...And you get the full story on Santa - Twists and turns like a roller coaster... Actually, all of the Rankin/Bass early '70s borderline subverisve Christmas specials were fantastic... _I'm Mister Green Christmas/I'm Mister Sun/I'm Mister Heat Blister /I'm Mister Hundred and One_. How can one go wrong... And I'd be remiss were I to leave out _The Grinch Who Stole Christmas_: "His heart grew to sizes that day"...Always chokes me up...
