Music through a lens

Those that know me - all 1 of you, hey Liz :D - know I am a live music photographer. I first got in to photography when I saw Eve Of Mind play live in a tiny little bar called The Blackbird in a tiny little town called Ballycotton. I quickly befriended the band and started photographing all their gigs. Some people have asked how I can enjoy a show when I spend most of it with a camera to my eye but its the way I work. Theres nothing better than capturing the band members emotions as they play the songs I love. Anyway I'm going to leave you all with a selection of my work. Im working on a portfolio website at the moment which will show all of my work over the last 4 years.

CAN'T WAIT to hear some feedback on your work from our fellow MOGGERS, know they will LOVE your work as I do ... being we're all of us music junkies :) Tell them - *"hey, I'm capturing moments - but that doesn't stop my ears from working", right luv ???* ;P *_Hey MOGGERs - the one I have hanging in my room is the bass player wearing the Radiohead T ... is it not sheer B&W perfection ..._*

    Rawkkiddoh says Incredible looking photographs. I happen to feel black and white photos always capture something that color photos can not. Second one down from the top speaks volumes to me.Great work, and good luck with the portfolio

    Lizziegreeneyes says h1. it IS sheer B&W perfection - it IS ! Sorry bout that Sean !!! Kinda comes across wrong though it isn't ... Kev, I dig the second one as well - that's Ger Buckley lead singer of Eve of Mind. I think that's one of your earlier shots Sean - am I right ??? I also love the last two Kev - the second to last was my second place for "which original work of ahfeckit's will hang in my boudoir ... the light, the warmth & the arch of the guitarist's back ... heavenly. The last one is Tadhg Cooke, I dig the light & shadow that Sean created ... Sean - you gots to get up some of the lovelies from the EP as well (when you get round to it) ... I know they'd love the Rufus, Damos, Frames ... etc. :)

You know the pics I have up at my Multiply page ... don't even hold a candle to Sean's work... well a couple I'm quite pleased with - but comparatively... what I have up on my wall was in a gallery & worthy of quite a hefty pricetag... he's really *THAT* good Kev !!! I have a ton of his prints that I go through on a regular basis... need to find a good way to display those as well. I may not create visual art -but that doesn't mean I don't have an eye. That eye loves his photos & loves your work as well - that cd cover is to die for - cou you jus die ???

    Rawkkiddoh says I am going to enjoy my buzz for a while........the drink I made is working wonders for my sore body right now. Soccer last night was tough, and I woke up all achey today. That mixed in with a day at the park, felt I needed a nightcap. How about sleep in 30 minutes?
