So having seen Damien Rice for the first time a year ago I was looking forward to seeing him back home again recently. I bought my ticket before I knew Lisa Hannigan had left the band, and of course I was anxious as to what he was going to be like minus her voice.Well to answer the question:He was awesome! So much energy, so much passion. There was a nice moment when he took out his phone and rang Lisa and Tommo's voice mails and got the crowd to say "We love you Lisa" and "We love you Tommo". The show itself was a mixture of O and 9 and of course The Professor/Woman Like a Man with the obvious exception of songs like Cold Water and 9 Crimes but still a great show.So in summery if you havent seen him since Lisa left go do it now!

    Lizziegreeneyes says As well he should be Kev - Damien Rice is one of the best live artists... guy is insane... after my first time seeing him - I said if I couldn't see Jeff Buckley before he passed - then I am glad for the opportunity to have seen Damo !!! They aren't the same - but the passion is similar & Damien certainly appreciates Jeff's version of Hallelujah ! How long is that list these days ??? blair saw him after Lisa left & felt the same way Sean... she will be missed - but the show hardly lacked ;) Great post - now all we need are some pics to go with it... come on Sean - don't hold out on us :)

    ahfeckit says Well believe it or not I didnt bring a camera! But I did meet a tiny Australian girl that did have one and Ill get hold of some of her pics and post em, I didnt take em but I did teach her how to use her camera better and take better photos ;)
