The Format makes life worth living for

So last night I had an orgasmic experience.WITHOUT LOSING MY VIRGINITY.I think the insanity of those first two lines shows how deliriously happy I still am from The Format's show at Slim's last night. I got there an hour before the doors opened and so was second row from the stage, aka, VERY CLOSE and it was so amazing.
The first band that opened is one that I have to talk about it A LOT because I hadn't known about them till last night and they are a force to be reckoned with. They're called Anathallo, and I think they have about seven or eight members who all play like five different instruments. They had huge bass drums, a drum set, extra snare drums, glockenspiels, a trumpet, a trombone, a xylophone, a piano, and various percussion instruments like tambourines and such. Plus all the rock band normals like a guitar and bass guitar. But they were very very good. Their songs were catchy and fun to dance to and made the experience really almsot other worldly. I felt really connected to them and the people around me...it was amazing. They put on a great live show, at one point, they all blew up balloons and then let them fly away. I almost grabbed one. But you know me. Oh no, I don't want to be meeeaaan. xDI was sad they opened first, they deserved to play longer.Street To Nowhere, a band I saw two times before when they were tiny little up and coming type of band, played next. They have a steady growing following and I thought they were pretty good, even if they sounded a bit generic. I enjoyed and had fun dancing and whatnot so. That was cool. Plus I hung out with them a bit after and theyre cool dudes, really nice. I think the good part of their live show is that you can tell they really really love what they're doing and are going to keep at it no matter what. There's a lot of love and passion in what they do.The next band, who I barely paid attention to (sorryyy) was Rainer Maria. I thought they were good, but they seemed like the type of band who would be better on CD than live. By this point, I needed The Format so I was getting antsy and it was hard to pay attention. The wait for The Format felt like forever, mostly because you were taunted by having to see feet go past under the screen and people were pushing like effing crazy. I was squahed next to some guys (who I ended up knowing) very uncomfortably and my friend Sophie took the time to point out this was a great setup to be groped. In any case, when the lights dimmed, everyone went insane.
The show was INCREDIBLE. The audience was really in tune with the band, very attached. Everyone knew all the lyrics and notes and all the names of the songs. The Format did a great job of really making the audience feel like they were part of their music and helping make it real. They pointed out that they aren't really on radio or TV so live shows are how they become known. And they should be known by them, because they have incredible awesome energy pusling through every second of their music. It's really great, really high energy and fun and dancey. I had an amazing time and they came back on at the end for four more songs after people began chanting their name. They played all my favorites from their first CD and five songs, (yes, including Oceans) from their new CD Dog Problems. They played for an hour and a half till 11:30 and then the amazing moment was over.I went to the stage at the end and didnt get the set list because a tall guy got it and my friend got a drumstick I was reaching for. But she felt bad so she bought me a poster. I met Sam (the guitarist/pianist) and he was so mellow and chill and cool. He signed my shoe. I'm going to take a picture. It was funny, because my shoe is completely written on, so he was turning it around looking for a place to sign and he was so confused haha. I said "Sorry" and he said "No its cool...your friends must have fun with this..." Awesome dude. And inspiring. To prove how long their effect has lasted on me, this morning I was supposed to get my braces off after a year and a half and MY DENTIST TOLD ME TWO MORE MONTHS. AHA. AND I CRIED BUT IM STILL HAPPY. YAAAY.Listen to The Format. You won't regret it.And oh yeahI have now seen over 50 different bands live woohoo xDI forgot to say that all my happiness this night is dedicated to Anna, who got me the ticket through KALX. I owe all this to her. She is an amazing person.
