WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

what i miss about christmas this year...

Posted over 3 years ago
i just realised how much i miss the journey home on christmas eve to spend the holidats with my family. this year im livign back with my parents after five years away, and its really weird. i lived about four hundred miles away form my parents house before this year, and so miss the day long train journey, the inevitable delays, the inevitable arguments with my ex and the inevitable rudeness of the marines who were based in my hometown at the time. its weird the sort of things you miss. i guess after the glory days of christmas (between the age of 3 and 15) the meaning of christmas changes and strange things take the place of presents etc. i guess i replaced the feeling of christmas morning with that of a train ride for the best cooked meal of the year. merry christmas everyone. and for any of you that have had horrible journeys over the past couple of days, take comfort in the fact that some of us miss those things!
