put a lil sugar in that bowl

the whirlies, twirlies, dips and riffs on the organ make this track. amp'd through the descending triads, the first time i heard this track, i was hooked. literally and figuratively. bass-heads will have plenty to stew on in the subtle, subdued lines. and the guitar riffs, straddling the clarity of wes and grant, are clean, hard-hitting and tasteful. it's affirming and heartening to see/hear contemporary cats pullin it off and making it commercially. (read:hey soulive, come to SF!) the modal interludes are reminiscent of something tuck andress would come up with, but they're signature is undoubtedly classic.
