I found this rare footage this morning... one of The Divinyls lesser known songs..
From what I have read this was recorded live for Nightmoves around 81/82.
Chrissie Amphlett plays her schoolgirl personna to the max in this...
Hope you enjoy...

I never heard this before...great tune! Surprisingly doesn't sound that dated considering the crap that was put out in the 80's with early MTV and all..
yeah as I said not one of their better known tunes... they were ahead of their time...
"they were ahead of their time..."
for sure
Wow, have a new found respect for them. Thanks for the gem. Listening again!
I only saw them live once along time ago... never ever to be forgotten... Chrissie Amphlett was outta control.. and so was her bladder... :-)
LOL! Nice!
Yes she was famous for a number of little 'quirks'...lol... I made sure I wasnt right up the front that night!!!
Wow, I never knew that. Like a female G.G. Allen of sorts. Wonder what she does in her spare time?
She was a wild woman... absolutely... I saw her interviewed recently, she lives in LA now and admits freely to having killed nearly all her brain cells (she slurs her words quite a bit - wasnt booze speaking she gave that up several years ago!!). The interview was really interesting... hearing about how there was no such thing as excess in her and many others worlds and that really she was the only female of her ilk in the industry at that time... which I realised was true....
Well yeah that is pretty true, when you become popular as a female in that genre it was a tough thing to handle.
This is from their first LP, and I've never seen this video footage. I'm extremely grateful, being a big Divinyls fan and having posted about them multiple times on MOG. I understand she's married and living in NYC. There seems to be no more music in her future - for now, at least, which is a damn shame.
I saw them live many moons ago ('84 I think?) ... a memorable show, Chrissie was definitely 'out there' and she had somehow put off some people in the audience (I'm not sure what it was, but I was in the front row and am relieved to say there wasn't any yellow fluid flying around. Maybe she was dehydrated!). Unfortunately it ended on a sour note when some of the crowd boo'd them off the stage, which they definitely didn't deserve. Anyway, it's been a little while since I've heard this track, good to hear it again. Thanks ZR.
Nice.
