Very early New Order meets My Bloody Valentine. Good sound, I dig it
Me too...I have watched all the official music vids for APTBS... but the proof of the pudding is in the live... and this was proof enough for me...
I always felt that the true measure of how great a band is is in the live performance. You really get to see the chemistry. And when they rock its even better!
It can be hard to do that here... so far away, costs a bomb to get the great bands here and can cost $150 (thats a standard price) and you have to book a year in advance...
Thats why I am a bit of a fiend in live performances on vid, its the next best thing to being able to be there...
That's unfortunate. Love a live show. You can see a rather decent band any day of the week here on the East Side of the U.S. Only problem is for every good or decent band there is, there's another 15 or so that suck it. And the big venues are pricey but I have a connect at a chain music store who gets advanced tickets. Its all about who you know.
I love live.....I was in the States recently and was able to catch several great bands in great venues for $20... it blew me away... here the venues hold 20,000 which is just pointless, whats the sense in only being able to see them on a screen when I can sit at home and watch em on DVD on my 51 inch plasma... here you would have to sleep with the promoters to get good seats... I dont think so...lol
Bummer. But if the promoter is cute you can watch the dvd together on your plasma, then go to the show...lol:)
A cute promoter? There is such a thing? Hmm I thought the analogy for them was more like 'circling sharks"...lol
HaHaaaaa! I know its almost as likely as honest politician or a mechanic that doesn't pad the bill. Nice thought though. Promoters are kinda greasy and just below weasels on the evolutionary scale.
on par with cockroaches...lol
This ROCKED! Jesus and Mary Crain anyone?? And definitely Valentine, like psuedo mentioned...
They're cool.....that drummer blows me away!!
Um..the R is nowhere near the H...duh lol...CHAIN I meant :-)
Unfortunately had to pass up the chance to see them in September, I really do with I didn't have to. This just cements my regret.
As for concert promoters...I was thinking about that as a possible career choice...haha oops. I solemnly swear that I am neither greasy and will book the best bands in venues where you don't have to rely on video screens to see the artist :D
Garagerock.. i wondered who Mary Crain was.... very loud lol.. and Jules09 as long as you promise all of that as well as not having to sleep with you for front row...:-)
oh my god no, that will not be necessary whatsoever! however, fresh baked cookies always work for bribes if necessary...
Definitely doable... double choc chip???
This band is simply amazing. Haven't seen them live meself, but it might happen in December...woo hoo!
Just to annoy Anna ...
I've seen them live ... TWICE! Front row, staring right into the maelstrom. Absolutely insane, and SO LOUD my ears rung for a good hour afterward.
SRSLY tho, Oliver's gotta lose the beard, it's not a good look for him.
EP! Show off ;P
Wow, your description got me all hot and bothered for their December show tho...
