...if that title doesn't get me some hits I don't know what will... ha...
...and speaking of hits... Canadian supergroup The New Pornographers contains the likes of A.C. (Carl) Newman, Neko Case, Dan Bejar (of Destroyer fame) and more... They make sparkling, intelligent music for people that like some talent to go along with the hooks... I lean heavily towards the Newman / Case side of the NPs... I know that most people around here know about 'em... but there's nothing wrong with hearing more great music... I've uploaded a couple for you to "get off" on... (so many double entendres, so little time...)
The first (above) is from their latest, "Challengers"... a song called "Mutiny, I Promise You"... as they say in Canada: Beauty, eh?!!
...by the way, this is a poster I got permission from the band's management to produce, but I couldn't sell it at the show... so... I didn't produce very many... (no place to sell... so... what's the point of making a lot...) But I liked the idea so much I had to at least make some... Dig that music!

This is by far one of my favorite posters that you've posted so far. In my own design it always goes back to the Mad Magazine cover parody if I can get away with it. The chest hair and medallions are what make it perfect.

this one is classic. timeless piece.

I saw them at the Warfield...in fact took Stan the man...we had a great time. In fact, A.C. Newman was standing next to us for the opening acts. Something I had never seen before, a headliner coming out to enjoy the openers. I could have touched him, but you know how it is in SF, we let famous people alone here, I let him enjoy the show.
I have heard some complaints about their music becoming watered down...I just find them more perfect.

doesn't sound like the background music for your normal-every-day type of porn...but I bet the porn that goes over this tune would be fun and zany!!!! Great Tune....and who is that hairy dude in the picture, very hot....

You double entendre fiend, you tricked me! I thought I would see some skin...instead I got a yummy mp3 and a delicious poster...keep on tricking _and_ treating us :)

Thanks gang!
I had this idea rolling around my noggin for a while... The New Yorker is such an influence for me... (have no idea how they'd take this piece, though... ha ha..)
...that's cool Annie... I know he lived in San Francisco for a while... the only thing like that, was when I went to see Warren Zevon at Slims and Aimee Mann was standing next to me... I'm not as cool as you, though, so I had to tell her that I dug her music... left her alone after that... Zevon was ON!...
Anna... I'll try to treat everyday like Halloween...

That's an inspired poster indeed. I really like the details of the nudie in the view-finder screen. A brilliant pastiche of the New Yorker art covers. Not to mention the band itself. I for one just enjoyed their latest instalment.

This veers perilously close to genius, Z.P. Perhaps my favorite of the work you've shown us on MOG and that I've seen on the S.F. scene...

mmmmmmmm chest hair! very nice job on the sleaze appeal of it.
