Of all the posters I've done, (and since I'm such a big fan of this band) I'd say I'm most proud of this one...
.
.
Eels is pretty much the vehicle for one, Mark Oliver Everett (otherwise known as "E")... He's led a tragic and amazing life... His father was the world famous quantum physicist, Hugh Everett... at 19 years of age, Mark found his father dead... In 1996 his sister, Elizabeth, (who first got him interested in music by playing him Neil Young's "After The Gold Rush") committed suicide... and two years later, his mother was terminally ill from lung cancer...
.
.
Through all this, he put together a string of remarkable albums... each showered with a variety of emotions... but at the end of it all, he seems to have found the humor, hope and beauty in life...
.
.
I'd recommend "Daisies Of The Galaxy," "Electro-Shock Blues" or his latest "Blinking Lights and Other Revelations"... There's a lot of autobiography contained within and they're all certainly worth checking out...

.
Here's my favorite tune from "Blinking Lights"... a song that absolutely glows... "In The Yard, Behind The Church."...

Rightfully proud; the poster is lovely! Have long admired Eels aka Mark Oliver Everett's music and courage - a supremely talented artist. The 'Novocaine For The Soul' is cool indeed. These were fantastic selections; enjoyed and appreciate the post. Cheers.

Thanks for the words, gang! I heard that there's more Eels in the pipeline (including a rarities / B-Sides comp coming early next year.) YEAH!
