...No One Said It Would Be Easy
...so I finally got to see my new favorite band live and they lived up to every expectation. Fantastic live show. Highly recommended. In celebration of their triumphant return to the San Francisco Bay Area, I thought I'd post some music from their brand new album "Feel Good Ghosts"... a fantastic follow-up to their brilliant "The Meaning of 8" album. (My pick for album of the year... along with "Great Northern".) I mentioned in the previous post their sound is slightly akin to Flaming Lips... you might want to add a dash of Animal Collective and Neil Young to the mix... Whatever the mixture, it's a perfect stew of sound.I'll start off with the opener: "No One Said It Would Be Easy"...

  7. Anonymous says Thanks Lizzie! I originally had her playing hopscotch, but then decided floating the sky worked better for me... Pat... yeah, Love Is Chemicals opened... they were pretty good... I have a feeling the next time Cloud Cult play here, they'll play at the Great American Music Hall or The Independent... they packed out Bottom of the Hill... Thanks Contra... glad you liked them... Ardy... Buy early, indeed... It seems unfair that you couldn't go, you've been a booster! I'm heading up to Seattle this weekend for a poster show and then Sasquatch... should be fun...

  9. Mike the Knife says Gorgeous stuff, Z.P. Next time such an act - one that you consider a must-see - is playing our neck of the woods, you've GOT to MOGmail me in time for me to get to the show.
