Los Angeles four-piece Great Northern (made up of ex-members of Earlimart, Whirlpool and 30 Seconds to Mars) has crafted (in my opinion) one of the Ten Best Albums of the Year... their debut album, "Trading Twilight for Daylight," is lush dream pop at its best. ...as flawless and beautiful as the drifting wax of a lava lamp...I've uploaded a couple of songs to check out... but the whole album is this good... (I was in a complete quandary about which two songs to pick... I so wanted to post "Our Bleeding Hearts," the gorgeous opener to this cd...)Definitely a band to watch. (and I wanna do an album cover for 'em, dammit!)
