..Thanks to the country of Scotland, for a while, we were treated to one of the coolest bands ever... ..The Delgados were comprised of two excellent writers/vocalists.. Alun Woodward and (one of my favorite female vocalist of all time) Emma Pollock. The Delgados ended their time together with three absolutely stunning albums... The first two of those were produced by Dave Fridmann (of Flaming Lips fame) and carry the BIG SOUND he is known for... their swansong, "Universal Audio," while less large, carries no less impact... The Delgados craft epic pop wrapped in layers of sonic wonder... Repeated listening reveals more and more... ("Hate" and "Universal Audio" are particularly noteworthy) Give them a bit of your time... ..Here's "BITS OF BONE" from "Universal Audio".......Here's the video for "COMING IN FROM THE COLD".....

I heard Emma Pollack on the radio one day and really liked her, That in turn got me to listen to The Delgados, I share your acclaim of them, they were an awesome group that got left behind quickly. Great post!!
