WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

a hypnotic tip of the cap...

..Doves (from Manchester, England)deliver a sound that could best be described as a soundtrack for life... A sweeping, majestic pop that has a trance-like quality to it... ..The song I uploaded is called SNOWDEN... and is right in their wheelhouse... majestic guitars and choruses from their third album, "Some Cities."....Pretty cool video... SKY STARTS FALLING.......and one of my favorites, SEA SONG...

  5. Dale says I must admit, I wasn't as big a fan of Some Cities as I was of The Last Broadcast, but Snowden just kills it. Beautiful song.

  7. ZenPop says Thanks for all the comments everyone... ...absolutely, Pat... I'll definitely be at the next Doves-go-round... Lizzie and Annie... hope Santa (and friends) are very good to you this year! Dale... To me... NOTHING tops their first one... "Lost Souls"... that's a beaut from start to finish... "Last Broadcast" took a while for me to get into.. but when I did, it was worth it... "Some Cities" has some great tunes... just a little less consistent.... I think "Snowden"'s the best of the bunch... that song stayed with me for a long time... Sam... thanks!... It's always great discovering a new band that catches you just right... ... to anyone that doesn't want to watch the video (which isn't that great) of SEA SONG, check it out when you can... that song is perfectly named tune that keeps throwing wave after wave of lush music your way...
