Bringing Paris To Your Window

.."Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain" (or "Amelie" for short) is probably the greatest combination of film and music I have ever witnessed. ..Jean-Pierre Jeunet (who also co-directed the excellent "Delicatessen") cascades us with brilliant image after image... and it's perfectly matched by the wonderful score provided by Yann Tiersen (who also scored "Goodbye Lenin"... also worthy of your time).....Take a listen to "Les jours tristes" from the Amelie soundtrack..........and when you're done with that, smile along to the memories of this amazing movie..........even the outtakes leave me smiling from ear to ear... (Audrey Tautou is mesmerizing... she has such a beautifully expressive face...)..

  3. ZenPop says Sam... then I envy you... you get to see it for the first time... It's definitely worth checking out... ...one of my top 10 movies of all time... Summer... it is a beautiful language... I took a couple of years of it in high school... but it's still hit and miss with me... The subtitles on this movie make it fairly easy to watch....
